In the summer of 2021, I had a four-month co-op placement at Loblaw Digital in the Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Department as an associate graphic designer. This placement opened my eyes to working in the industry in a large corporation. During my time here I expanded my knowledge on how to follow strict brand guidelines, practice AODA standards, work with a small group of designers, how present in front of stakeholders, etc. This placement was a great opportunity to work with professional designers and take a peak into my future in the creative industry.

These beauty banners above were created for the Shoppers Drug Mart website on the beauty pages. This was a weekly task that encouraged me to research the brands and understand their branded styles. The banners also allowed a lot of creative freedom to try new design techniques.

These are two examples of the emails I created for the Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty department. These emails challenged my layout skills but allowed me to learn how to navigate size limitations and product placement.
